This decision will reduce the amount of oil used to light more than 10,000 Akhand Jyoti’s and the pollution caused will also be substantially reduced. This new legacy will ensure that the Akhand Jyoti will be ablaze 365 days.

Understanding its social onus the temple committee has decided to construct a fully equipped old age home for helpless aged people. Being constructed for gents and ladies separately, this old age home will accommodate 150 individuals. A rehabilitation center for the physically challenged is being constructed next to the old age home in the temple premises. The facilities available at this rehabilitation center will not only treat men & women of their physical ailment, but will also make them self independent. According to the law, the amount required for the renovation of the Idol and its Garbhagruha will not be provided through government fund. Hence, the temple committee has taken up the responsibility of the renovation. This renovation includes the 21kg gold idol of Maa Jagdamba, 11kg of gold ornaments and the use of 750kg silver for the decoration of the Garbhagruha.
